| Notes |
- In 1832 Isaiah Austin filed a claim for bounty stating that he had served as an Indian spy in the Revolution. His residence at that time was Grayson County, Virginia. He had enlisted in Surry County, North Carolina. At least it shows when Isaiah was alive. In the pension records which states Isaiah appeared in court on 24 Sept. 1832, it gives his age as 73. Also states his date of birth as 18 Feb. 1759. James Cox & Benjamin Phipps appeared in court on the same day as wittnesses to his character and age and the fact that they believed him to be a soldier of the Revolution.
